Rare Model 1899 Bayonet thats has been ugraded with the filler stud to M1899/18 & then converted for Carbine / Short Rifle use
by reducing the muzzle ring diameter.

These will not fit any of the Long Rifles

Serial Number 81457 matches to a 1918 date Model 1911 Carbine (K11)

On the Mod. 1889 dagger bayonet, a subsequent safety rivet (with 6mm or 9mm diameter) was attached in the groove of the blade of a Mod. 1889 dagger bayonet,
which was intended to prevent the bayonet from slipping out of the scabbard. Bayonets with these upggrades are known as the 1899/18 Model
